Shri Shivaji Law College, Kandhar Dsit. Nanded was established in the year 1993 by Shri Shivaji Mofut Education Soceity Kandhar founded by Dr. Keshavraoji Dhondge Ex.M.P., Veteran Freedom Fighter, Educationalist and Journalist with an object to provide legal education to the downtrodden, neglected & poor students in Marathwada Region.

The college is located in semi-urban area over 6 acres land in the hilly tribal and educationally backward area of Nanded district. The College was initially affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad & later got it affiliated to the newly established University of this region namely Swami Ramanand Treeth Marathwada University Nanded Since 1995. The college is recognized by state Govt. of Maharashtra and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi as well as recognized under section 2 (f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956.

The College is a single faculty college, offering professional degree courses in law i.e. Three Year LL.B. Course, which is covered under Grant-in –Aid of the state Government and Five Year LL.B. Course, which is self financing Course. The college is having qualified Teachers. The college has an impressive alumni record of holding positions at various legislative bodies, academicians, legal professionals etc. The Students are allowed to write answers in the examination in vernacular language of this region i.e. Marathi, for which they have to appear an additional English subject, as per B.C.I. rules & guidelines.

The Law college is having adequate infrastructure, Principals room, Class Rooms, Library building, independent Moot Court Hall & spacious play ground. The college library consists of text books, reference books, law reporters, journals both national and international. The college is having indoor & outdoor sport equipments.

I am indeed to be the In-Charge Principal of this institution & feel great honor & being associated with college and having opportunity of making my little contribution and efforts in building of the college. The present status of the college could not at all have been possible without the efforts, participation and supports by Hon’ble Dr.Keshavraoji Dhondge Saheb & Staff of this college.
